Toronto City Council meets today! Here's @neville_park's preview at @torontoist: http://torontoist.com/2016/10/city-council-preview-october-2016/
To prepare yourself, here's my freshly updated Toronto City Council scorecard. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cXKAdQCl6bPszpFMQh0GJvihIe1pZ-nGQh-0b0pw8Fw/edit?usp=sharing
State of the Scarborough subway: "Red, as in danger." http://www.metronews.ca/news/toronto/2016/10/05/scarborough-subway-might-already-be-off-track.html
Coun. Karygiannis on proposed downtown rail deck park: "Guess what? People in Scarborough have also pooches."
Coun. Ainslie asks Nunziata if the Jays game can be played on the screen in council chamber. A security guard flashes a hopeful thumb up.
Council votes 33-2 to approve installation of contra-flow bike lane on Corley Avenue. Ford & Holyday against.

This vote is the series premiere of Toronto Council: The Next Generation.

Lee says he has a petition signed by 900 Ward 42 residents asking for appointment because they're sick of all the by-elections
Coun. Lee's motion to delay council decision on how to fill the vacancy in Ward 42 CARRIES 23-14.

Pretty clear left-right split in that vote. Council's left wanted by-election ASAP. Those on the right were cool with waiting. Hmm.
